BS Fuji: Nippon no Kaname #1 — Understanding and Changing Care and Welfare

The first episode airs on Sunday 10 November, 17:30–17:55.

In a Japan where more than one person in four is elderly, the programme looks at care and welfare as they stand today and asks how the country moves forward.

The main presenter is the actor Jun Kaname.

He is joined by Yurina Kamijo, a care worker and model who works in the field herself, and together they take on this subject on behalf of the viewer.

Special guest: Ringo-chan.

In every episode, young people who will shape the Japan to come spend time working in care and welfare settings. Some already study the field at university; others have never encountered it at all. What do they notice on the ground, and what do they take away from it?
